In the the vicinity there are numerous places of interest, reachable by travelling pleasant, signed paths by foot, on mountain bike or horse, through landscapes of exceptional beauty. Don’t forget to visit the castles: the castle of the marquis Falletti in Barolo, with Barolo’s Regional Enoteca and the innovative Wine Museum, the castle of Grinzane Cavour, which was the residence of the statesman Camillo Benso Earl of Cavour, with its annexed Enoteca, andthe medieval fortress of Serralunga d’Alba.

Follow the pathways which wind throw the Langa-hills, along the orderly vineyards. Stop here in Perno, to admire the Romanesque chapel of S. Stefano, dating back to the 12th century, or the chapel of Brunate in La Morra, decorated by the artists Sol Lewitt and David Tremlett;

In about 15 minutes by car you will reach Alba, once known as the “City with hundred towers” (12 km), in 5 minutes Monforte (4 km).

In little more than an hour by car, you can reach Liguria’s animated seaside resorts, as well as Cuneo’s splendid mountain resorts, renowned winter ski resorts, ideal for excursions and hikes in summer.

Not to be forgotten are the numerous events, fairs and festivals that animate the small Langa centres in each season. You’ll have plenty to choose from in every period throughout the year: from the Carnival of Mondovì to the Merendina nella Saracca in Monforte, from the Fiera della Ciliegia (Cherry Fair) to the Festa dell’Uva (Grape Festival) of Dogliani, from the famous Fiera del Tartufo Bianco (White Truffle Fair) of Alba to the antique Fiera dei Bèro (Ram Fair) of Monforte, of Santa Lucia of Novello, of the Puciu in Narzole and of the Santi in Dogliani, to finish with the Fiera del Bue Grasso (Fat Oxen Fair) of Carrù.

There is no lack, during the entire year, of village festivals, of good typical food and happy music, let alone the events done in order to recall the past and antique traditions, from the parades of cars of yesteryear, to the antique markets (e.g. in Cherasco).

For sport lovers, there are the pallone elastico (fist ball) tournaments, an antique yet still very popular sport in this area.
